5th-7th Fun and Games, HS Physical Science

My name is Courtney Ippel. I graduated from Calvin College with a B.A. in Elementary Education and a focus on the areas of middle school science and language arts.  For several years,  I worked in the Grand Rapids area as 7th and 8th grade science and language arts teacher.  After our first child was born, I came home to raise and homeschool our family.

Now we have four children, J.J. (12), Carter (10), Rylee (7), and Zander (5), who keep us busy and active. My husband and I have been married for 17 years, and we live in Hudsonville. For fun, our family enjoys gin rummy, swimming, mountain biking, hiking, and all things outdoors (except mosquitos!).

In the past few years, I've moved into the role as the Youth Director of our church, where I run our middle school ministry.  I love working with youth and helping them to see all that God has in store for them!  I'm passionate about raising up the next generation to love the Lord and to develop a desire to build His kingdom.

I’m excited to be back teaching for FA this year! Our kids have been attending for the past several years, and it has been a wonderful addition to our homeschool journey.
