Rachel Formsma

7th Grade Science

After graduating from Hope College in 2007, I obtained my elementary teaching certificate with middle school math and science endorsements. I substitute taught in the area for several years before settling into a position teaching middle school math and science at an area public school. In 2016, I left teaching to become a stay-at-home mom. I finished my Master's in Education in Literacy Studies with a K-12 Reading Specialist focus in 2017.

My husband, Kevin, and I have been married since 2008. We lived in Zeeland for several years, but now we live in Hamilton. We have two children, Micah and Olivia (born in 2014 and 2017, respectively). As a family, we enjoy board games, camping, hiking.

I'm excited to teach students about the amazing world God created and how we study it!
