Hello! My name is Andrea Johnson. I’m SO excited to be working with your 2nd graders! Here is a little info about me and my family…
I’m married to my amazing husband, Josh who is a property manager for Locale (off campus-student housing for GVSU) in Allendale. We have three girls and one boy! Their names are Selah (10), Elia (8), Reagan (6) and Matthias (4). We have a five month old goldendoodle named Rocky! He brings an immense amount of joyful chaos to our home! We moved to West Michigan four years ago. We are originally from the South Bend, IN. area. We are huge Notre Dame fans! Go IRISH!
When we are not watching college football, we enjoy having family game nights where we play games such as: Catan, Exploding Kittens, Ticket to Ride, etc. We love to travel and just this past spring break we had the opportunity to take a trip to Cape Cod, Massachusetts. We were able to walk along the Freedom Trail in Boston, visit Martha’s Vineyard for the day, see Plymouth Rock, and stop and visit Niagara Falls on our way home! It was quite the experience and we logged A LOT of hours in the van. My kids are troopers!
God brought us to West Michigan due to a job change for my husband in 2018. We didn’t know what to expect but God has continued to be faithful to us as we follow his calling to go. Both mine and my husband’s families are located in the Michiana area and we miss being close to them, however, as we continue to grow roots in the West Michigan area we feel called to “BE” in this community. We value relationships within our church family and are continuing to grow relationships in our new neighborhood in Allendale. This will be our third year of homeschooling and my first year teaching at First Addition! I look forward to meeting and working with you and learning alongside your children! I’m looking forward to a great year!
